wheel horse junky

so i have a B-80 with a four speed i put a k301 in it because the 8 hp was gone and i have a 86" inch drive belt that's sloppy (need to put an 85 inch on) and have gone completely through the rear end the and still can't start in neutral and can only clutch half way because if i go all the way forward it reengages and makes a hell of a racket   any thoughts

:text-welcomewave: @wheel horse junky!  When you did the engine swap, did you replace the belt guard?  It’s an integral piece of the clutch system, topping the belt when you depress the clutch pedal.

Yep. Belt isn't stopping?

The belt GUARD is also the belt GUIDE. It must be in place.

You may need to get a belt guard off of a C 100 or retrofit the one you already have.

Do you have any pics or video of what happens?

Basically, you just need to crimp with pliers...

the bottom channel of your belt guard, so it grabs hold of the slacked belt when you are clutching.

Or, add one of these in your belt path.

With the clutch pedal up and the belt tight the bottom span of belt should clear the lip on the bottom of the belt guard by about 1/8"-1/4".

When the pedal is pushed down and the belt goes slack it can only drop to the lip on the guard and the rest of the slack is forced to the drive pulley where it can slip.

The sides of the belt must be fabric covered.

...and the simple "crimp" that will provide a similar belt resistance.
