slider1_us 3 #1 Posted September 8, 2019 Hey all I have a wheel horse 520 that runs for a few minutes and then loses all electrical power and stops I wait a few minutes and it will start up and run then dies again no electrical power
stevasaurus 22,527 #2 Posted September 8, 2019 I know nothing about 520's, but what you are talking about can be a bad coil, bad condenser and possibly a fuel blockage issue.
ol550 830 #3 Posted September 8, 2019 Do a search on the 9 pin connector and check the fuse holder for damage.

953 nut 54,361 #5 Posted September 8, 2019 Fuse holders are located near the battery and tend to become corroded and lossen up.
Ed Kennell 37,473 #6 Posted September 8, 2019 Are you saying it dies while running and the starter will not turn it over when you try to restart. If this is the case, the problem must be common to the starting and ignition circuits. Look closely at the PTO and seat safety switches. Sometimes simply unplugging the connectors several times will clean the lugs and restore good contact.
roadapples 6,983 #7 Posted September 9, 2019 Sounds like mine. It was the fuse holder....

Ed Kennell 37,473 #11 Posted September 10, 2019 (edited) Have you unplugged and reconnected all the connecters? 9 pin molex seat switch both PTO switches ignition switch Look for broken or chaffed wires on the safety circuit. Look for any discolored spots on any wires that would indicate overheating. Edited September 10, 2019 by Ed Kennell 1
lynnmor 7,245 #12 Posted September 10, 2019 While a number of connections can cause your problem, I would make the 9 pin connector the first priority.
