Bub43780 0 #1 Posted September 5, 2019 I have a 416h and it just started not going to neutral when brake is set. It looks like it’s in right position on the cam under the seat but has to be shifted off that point to get neutral.
CountryRock 199 #2 Posted September 6, 2019 Here is the service manual for the Eaton transmission in your tractor. It will tell you how to adjust the neutral position on it.
rmaynard 15,606 #3 Posted September 6, 2019 What year is your 416-H? My 416-H had the motion control lever on the steering column and all the linkage was worn. Replacing all the worn parts and then adjusting it by the manual fixed the neutral issue. However, I did replace all that later with a foot pedal kit.
DougC 2,641 #4 Posted September 6, 2019 I bought an 88 520H that when you pushed the brake pedal the motion lever would not move back to stop. After removing some side covers and top plate I discovered it was not hooked up properly linkage wise. You never know who has been the last monkey with pliers and a screw driver "working" on the tractor.
