Pullstart 62,600 #30 Posted September 6, 2019 @dealndan65@yahoo.com! I have not had to look for tires for “Hot Wheels,” my 953 I picked up from one of our resident experts @953 nut... but they might not be the exact size you’d be looking for, as the wheels are from the automotive world... I believe Miller Tire might have a selection for you, that might be where @PeacemakerJack‘s father picked them up for his 953.

PeacemakerJack 10,738 #32 Posted September 6, 2019 @dealndan65@yahoo.com welcome to the forum. The above references are great sources for what you seek! My dad purchased a set of implement tires for his 953 (basically the same as the 1054) a couple of years ago. His are listed in their catalog under implement tires and the size is 7.60-15. These are a “bar/lug” or AG (agricultural) tire. Since dad would use his tractor primarily for ground engaging implements, it is the type of tire he chose. If you desire a turf, there are some options at the above links. If you are not concerned about Garden Tractor specific, because they have standard 15” rims, auto tires work like what @pullstart has on his “HotWheels” I hope you find what you are looking for and don’t be a stranger around here!I

PeacemakerJack 10,738 #34 Posted September 6, 2019 My above post answered your question. HOWEVER—to make it easier for you, here is the link to the tire that my dad put on his 953. https://www.millertire.com/products/implement-tires/7-60-15/7-60-15-american-farmer-traction-implement-4-ply/ Look at the pics in my above post and see if you like the look of his tires. There is a smaller size v-bar tire that you could run as well 6.70-15 if dad’s look too big for your taste. https://www.millertire.com/products/implement-tires/6-70-15/6-70-15-goodyear-sure-grip-traction-4-ply/ Be aware of prices though, they vary greatly between brands. I guarantee that the 7.60’s That Dad is running bite good if you need traction... 3

ebinmaine 67,020 #40 Posted September 9, 2019 @PeacemakerJack Josh I see that video was just made last month. How long have you had those tires on? Looks like they grip very well in that environment. Just curious to know if you have any comment about the wear characteristics of them yet.
PeacemakerJack 10,738 #41 Posted September 9, 2019 Dad purchased and mounted those about two years ago. The tractor doesn’t get used a lot but they seems to work really well. They have about twice the lug depth of a standard GT AG tire which gives them a lot more bite. As far as wear characteristics, I would imagine that they would be pretty durable. They are designed for farm implements which tend to be much heavier than a 800-1000# GT and often are pulled on the asphalt at 15-20 mph. However, I can’t tell you how the rubber on these specific tires will look after 10 or 15 years. Unfortunately quality these days is hard to come by... I hope this helps!
ebinmaine 67,020 #42 Posted September 9, 2019 It absolutely helps! Thank you. You say those have a pretty aggressive lug bar. Any thoughts on the actual depth of those?

AWESOME...is really the only word that comes to mind. Since the tractor isn’t at my house, I can’t measure for you at this time but I would say that they are 1-1.5” deep lugs. However, the pattern doesn’t make for a clunky ride when on solid surface. I definitely recommend them for any Big Wheel guy that wants a tractor look with lots of bite at a decent price. Oh yea...if you are prone to wrapping your fingers around the fender while driving, I wouldn’t recommend this size tire on your tractor Essentially, I feel that they look good from any angle. More importantly, they work great! 1 3
RandyLittrell 3,876 #44 Posted September 9, 2019 I think we have discussed this before, but looking at your GT-14 and your Dad's 953, do you think the 7.60's will fit under the GT's fenders? Randy

I've been known to do that but this one will be using rear fenders and toolbox from a 603 - ish horse. I'll have to raise them anyway so I'll pick em up a little extra. 10 hours ago, RandyLittrell said: I think we have discussed this before, but looking at your GT-14 and your Dad's 953, do you think the 7.60's will fit under the GT's fenders? Randy Randy I remember seeing a review somewhere on the interwebs that said they fit but were tight. Perhaps would be fine with a little fender massage....
