drive belt care

Recommended Posts

For drive belts on the 400 series, is there any advantage to releasing the tension on the drive belt between uses?  Not sure if a "relaxed belt" last longer but if some of you may have more belt experience I'd be curious to hear what you have to say.

Thanks - Cod

I can see the logic of the question but I don't think it's a concern.

Belts on horses have been known to last a couple decades.

Like any other part of the equipment, keep it clean and dry and it'll be there quite awhile.
