So your Commando 8 is a 1968 machine that originally had a Kohler 8hp motor. Someone has swapped the motor to a Tecumseh 12hp, that’s a negative in my book.

Is the only attachment the plow? No mowing deck? Does it run as it sits or does it need some work to run?

It has a mowing deck I am not sure if it is running or not I am going to say probably not and will need to be worked on. I am just not sure what it would be worth and how to go about selling it. Thank you for any information you can provide me with.

:WRS:  @joy71 as you probably all ready know there are a few pieces missing, unless you just haven't included them in your pictures.  Of course that will also affect the selling price. It would help if we could also see the mowing deck to know it's condition.

Look through the classifieds here in Red Square and in your local Craigslist... Should give you a pretty good idea.

Without good detail pictures, it is difficult to make an accurate estimate of value.     The pictures you have indicate the tractor and snow plow are in poor condition.

The Tecumseh HH120 is not a desirable engine and if the tractor was used with he missing drive belt guard, the 3 speed unidrive transmission may have gear damage.

Your location is also a big factor in determining value.

In my location,

The tractor is worth    $50-100

The snow plow with the axle bracket     $100-150

The deck   $50-100

Entire package   $150 - 250

If you could get some pictures of the deck, the blade of the snow plow, and the rear hitch of the tractor,  we could make a better evaluation.

Based on the few pictures we have, I think $200 is a reasonable starting price.       If additional pictures show a decent deck and possible a sleeve hitch, the price could go up.

You can list it here on the Red Square classified section.    I have also had good response on Facebook Marketplace and Craigs List.

My grandfather is selling his C-175 and I want to buy it from him to restore it. He thinks he can get about $3000, but I think that is too high. It does come with a mower deck that is probably to rusty to use and a tiller. He says the tractor has lots of accessories on it. It will need some work as it hasn't ran in probably 15-20 years. I was thinking about $1000 but I am not sure. What do you think?
