Someday I want to outfit a couple sections of train track from in my living room to out on a front porch or the like, with a big planter box.  Come Christmas time, we’d roll the tree 🌲 in and “wrap” the box to fit in with other presents and the tree could stay alive (hopefully).  This means we need to build a front living room, with a vaulted ceiling and train house front doors, but then we wouldn’t need our stand either!

i put a Car Battery at back of my horse, with a weight of 37 Kg, thats 74 Pounds,

what was close enough, to pull the Snow with FEL and lift it.

Wet heavy Snow was differently to pull

Stay tuned for pictures in November or December after the first snow.  The weather service is calling for a “Polar-Coaster” here in Ohio this Winter.  We’ll see what that means.  Right now is sounds like a fancy marketing phrase to keep us tuned to The Weather Channel.  Still looking for that piece of rubber for the bottom of the blade.  Thanks to everyone for helping to made this better.

As for the Rubber lip,

take a look at Servicestation for treadmills.

 

they have mostly rubberparts in different length, also provided with reinforcing braid.

 

that makes the rubber lip a bit stiffer. Used it on my Plowshield, if it‘s worn, just change it.

 

here a 1,3m  long  and 0,5m wide piece cost about 15€ seems 18$

If you get a rest it‘s mostly free of charge, if you ask kindly..😎

why don,t you find a place to store your deck? , seams like a hell of  a lot of ideas that  could be easily solved with a  regular 42 " dozer blade and frame set up. years back i mounted screw in eye bolts to framing studs, any of my decks stand on their side edge against a wall or corner , held on to with  coil extension spring , simple , easy , minimal space. the idea of using a mower deck for weight  is not even on the list. i have plows and mower decks , and a  36/42 "snow thrower, they all have their season for a reason. hope you come up with a better solution , pete

Understand your point.  I use to have the deck mounted to the wall in front of one of our cars (two stall garage).  Then I bought a table saw.  The car was too long (Caddy XTS) for both the table saw and mower deck to be in front of it.  So, the deck went back onto the tractor.  All my walls are already completely lined with “stuff”.  Both cars are inches from the garage doors.  The garage is like a sardine can.   The real solution to my plow dilemma is to get a shed or new garage.  In the meantime, I’m going to see how this contraption works out.

Per everyone’s feedback, here is the final modification.  1 1/2 inch rubber edge.  I’m ready for some snow!
