81blackhood 168 #1 Posted August 28, 2019 I’m restoring a 81 C-125 and the mounts are shot. I contacted Zack Kerber to see if he was interested in making some for the Wheel Horse guys. The Cub solid mounts are different and won’t work. He told me to send a old mount in and this is what he came up with. He modeled them from the stock mount and they fit perfect. Not sure if they are on his web site yet. 10

81blackhood 168 #9 Posted August 28, 2019 These are being offered by Zack Kerber Machine https://www.zkbrmachine.com/. Not sure if there on the web site yet or the price. The price will be less than the stock replacement mounts. Best bet is to send a email 1
81blackhood 168 #10 Posted August 28, 2019 Update. Just got a response from Zack. These are going to go on the website and EBay tomorrow. Price is $55. That a great price considering the stock replacements are around a $100 1

ronhatch 406 #16 Posted August 29, 2019 (edited) My 1979 C101 came with a shaker plate. During it's restoration I cleaned up that mess by throwing out anything connected with that design and simply substituted 4 - 3/4" thick spacers to maintain the original height of the engine. I used the engine bolt pattern on the shaker plate as a template for locating and drilling 4 new holes in the frame to mount the engine plus I made new brackets to anchor the lower clutch arm and a simple bracket to secure the muffler. Total cost; $10.00 for 4 custom made 1 1/2" OD X 3/8" ID X 3/4" thick spacers. That's it! Clean and simple. Anybody want the shaker parts? Racinbob 11,088 #18 Posted August 29, 2019 NICE!!! My Dad had one blackhood with wobble mounts and I had a 1979 C-141. We both hated the mounts. The blackhood got sold and I fabricated solid mounts but I don't remember what I did. It got sold too. These mounts are clean (I like that) and definitely priced right. I've got half a notion to get a set just to have in my stash in case...…..
