dcroce 0 #1 Posted August 27, 2019 (edited) Hello. I have a 1975 B-80 and need a replacement blade for the snow (only the blade I have all other components in working order). Unfortunately the 1975 blade was discontinued as a replacement part however I was informed by a Parts manager that a 1982 would fit. I’m not sure about this and want to verify if anyone can offer insight. The links below are to the diagrams with the part. 1975: https://www.partstree.com/models/6-9623-toro-42-snow-dozer-blade-1975/parts-list-42-blade-with-mounting-assembly-factory-order-number-6-9623-0/ 1982: https://www.partstree.com/models/06-42bc02-toro-42-dozer-blade-1982/snow-blade-42-in-107-cm-vehicle-identification-number-06-42bb01-06-42bb02-3/ Edited August 27, 2019 by dcroce
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #2 Posted August 27, 2019 Will likely fit but that is just a guess. The 6-9623 used a 5109 42" blade including the cutting edge and nla. 5109 was replaced by 109593 blade which was replaced by 78-1330-01 and still available from Toro but is now 48" wide. plus cutting edge 109596 which was replaced by 93-1612-03 and still available from Toro. These parts fit the 2012 blade sold for the long frame tractors. You should be able to find a used blade and save some $'s. Post an add in the classifieds here with your location because shipping could be a killer. Garry

Burnerman 758 #4 Posted August 27, 2019 Just to add, I went to the local steel yard and picked up a piece of 3/16 x 4” steel 52” long from the short bin for cheap. I used the old cutting edge as a template. It lasts years now.

The longer ends are great when angled to cut ice. I had my friend get me a cutting edge off one of the town trucks I was gunna cut down. 😂😂 😂😂 i could barely pick it up. 😂😂

Lee1977 6,647 #9 Posted August 28, 2019 Those grader blade are case harden on the surface and grader edge. I used a smaller blade for a old road scraper to make my Grader Blade. The new ones are a lot bigger and thicker then the one I used. I cut the length down to 4' by grinding of the surface all the way around then saw it off with a metal cutting band saw. The one I used was 5 3/4" high by almost 1/2" thick at the center.
