Yep yep yep. We do have those here. It was the buzzing that gave it away.

 

As a matter of fact, that's one of my favorite noises.

 

I can't say I've ever seen one though.... Until just the other day.

They aren't actually all that common in my area. I might have between 3 and 5 in my yard at any given time on a busy afternoon.

 It is now officially autumn/fall over here. Leaves are starting to drop though not by much yet, up in the north. Also it's raining and has been all day as if the ground is not wet enough.

Maine is the most heavily forested state in the nation and we get some nasty storms.

Also we here are on a small mountainside and, rural.

We lose power 1/2 dozen times a year or so. Usually only a few hours. Sometimes a few days.

 

We have 3 different ways to heat the building and/or food and we are outdoor people at heart so we manage better than most.

We also don't have any connection to media other than the phones so loss of electricity isn't a TV/internet disaster.
