pfrederi 17,881 #26 Posted August 24, 2019 I use a brass drift pin and hammer down on the inner end of the key. Then use Richards chisel technique on the outer end. alternate whackings

Heat that key really well and as it cools drop a little penetrating oil on the ends. Cool.... Tap each end a little to rock it. Repeat procedure.
XLT 13 #28 Posted August 24, 2019 Got it. Welded a small bolt on to give me something to grab and/or get a chisel on. 3

Bean701 35 #31 Posted August 28, 2019 Kroil. Very expensive, but worth the money. It’s very effective
XLT 13 #32 Posted August 28, 2019 Basic problem with the brake drum was the width of drum was causing the arms to wedge themselves out from under it.... I rednecked 3 small bar clamps on there... quite an operation. That got them to tighten up before pulling out from under the drum.
