I'm planning to visit another old homestead to pick some hops, lots of old junk to take pictures of. The folks living on this homestead lived in style, Delco DC single cylinder generator in the basement, barn wired for lights and they had one 12 volt DC motor that swapped from sewing machine, cream separator and probably ran the old Maytag. With the modern conveniences of the time employed on the farm it gave then enough liesure time to grow a few hops and make beer, the hop plants thus far have survived the test of time. Not sure of the species or what flavor they impart into a beer. Edited August 19, 2019 by bcgold 1

Might ask Rob who owns the property as there is something that I would like to get. This is a very old home site and the Caragana has grown very large. I would like to have permission to harvest some of it.
bc.gold 3,403 #8 Posted August 19, 2019 (edited) I should have put this in the Whats it thread, but this will do. Hint its farm related, there is a casting similat to the top one not shown that bolts onto the bottom. I'm guessing it's worth at least $500.00 as is to the right person. The hand operated water pump was used to top up the boiler on the steam tractor, the one manufactured by Smart is more than likely an aftermarket replacement for a more expensive pump that froze up over winter and cracked.
