Wood splitter

Has any one ever thought about building a wood splitter out the front end of a wheelhorse tractor I was thinking that if a single tire off the very front end for turning and stability and just run a belt down to power the hydraulic pump?

I am going to imagine that for some reason, the engine and transmission still work together to make a self propelled splitter, with a pump for the hydraulic ram.  A little stretch of the front running gear could have made that happen, I just wonder why the tractor remnants are so un-proportional....  so cool nonetheless!

That second one is cool. I'm betting it's just an axle stuffed under the frame with no drive ability based on the folded up jack in the one picture.
