My next-door neighbor called me today and said come check out these trees that fell with last weeks storm we had in the afternoon. His property comes down the mountain here beside l 65 Just a few short miles from Nashville. There's a creek that follows at the bottom of it that winds  and curves  down below the interstate .  There was some kind of burst that came down through this valley and mowed down several big !!!   No giant Normas trees. There is a Sycamore that is at least 3 feet in diameter with a 30 to 40 strait trunk.  Also at least a half a dozen or more trees all laying in the same direction .  Strange !!!

There is also a beach tree with a lot of spalted wood  embedded in it ! LOTS

of bowl material!! Win ...Win!! The root system itself was at least 20 feet across

Yes there is a bit of trade here.  Of course the sycamore should bring a lot of $$$$

Some of the other pieces of wood such as the spalted beach....several bowls!!!

Mine !!!  The smallest of all these trees that fell was around 18 inches. This must have been one hell of a windstorm ! Which makes me think Kevin didn't Johnny Cash write a song something like this?

John Henry?  I’m thinking long and hard and all that comes to my mind is “that’s just my hammer sucking wind”
