520H onan oil filter questions.

The correct part is Toro NN10143. Can someone please tell me how long that filter is? My 520 came to me with another brand installed that was pretty long. The issue with that is that it restricts access to the steering grease fitting and it is also extremely difficult to install and remove. For now I have an Onan filter # 0122-0645 which is in my opinion a bit short at 3-1/2". It looks like what I need may be the Onan 122*0800 at 4-1/4"? That may also restrict access to the grease fitting hence my reason to inquire about the correct one's length. I believe that they all are ok  except for the access restriction?

Cass, I can't tell you exactly what length but typically mine stick out past the engine tin approximately 1"-1.5" and it is a factory Onan filter  but I can't remember the number...

That looks like it would be correct still allowing access to the grease fitting. The one I have now is a bit short having the top of it flush with the rubber seal.

I believe it's the 0800

You are most likely correct. It has the same color as the 800 in Oman Parts. I guess they all do the job but a little more filter area is a good thing.

Another little improvement I made was to extend the drain tube into the clear area under engine so it now drains directly onto pan without going all over tractor.

Napa # is 1762 winch is 4 1/2" long.  A 1764 is the same filter but with a nut welded to the cap for easier removal.

Thank you. I also looked at that one. The nut is actually a great idea making real easy to remove or tighten. Onan Parts also has the same one with the nut.

The 122-0800 is the correct filter.  Onan now packages the the Fleetguard #LF3339 in the green box labeled with the 122-0800 part number.  You can find the Fleetguard filters online at very reasonable prices.
