In the Red 0 #1 Posted August 7, 2019 I recently changed the transmission fluid in my 520h. It ran good before but it looked like it had the original transmission filter on it. After changing the fluid with 10w30 and new fluid filter now I don't have any movement until about 7/8 the way through the lever. Can I please get some help on what would cause this. pfrederi 17,884 #4 Posted August 7, 2019 Have you rechecked the fluid level ? They can get air locked as you fill them and you think they are full but they are not. Should have taken about 5 qts...

WVHillbilly520H 10,374 #9 Posted August 7, 2019 I always run the lift cylinder through a few complete cycles up and down while changing out the fluid/filter... This helps displace any air that may still be in the system... While refilling did you notice any "burping" or did you leave the filter loose/remove bolt from top of transaxle this will eliminate a lot of the air issues.
