Trailer size for D-200 w/loader?

Recommended Posts

DavidP

I'll be picking up a 1978 D-200 with a loader mounted on it with wheel weights this week.

This will be my first real tractor.

Wondering if it would fit on a TSC 4x6 tilt trailer?

Can anybody give me the length and width of this configuration?

I know it has engine oil leak somewhere.

Doesn't burn oil, just leaks.

Any pointers on where I should look?

Any important checks I should make sure to do before I put my money down?

BTW, glad to be here.

My C160 with basically same loader barely fit an 8' bed....

My C 105 fits a 5x8 with 2’ to spare with the tractor only... so I’m guessing a D would not fit your trailer with a loader unless you’re hanging it off the end, which is ill advised...

I'm thinking that the weight of a "D" with a loader and large wheel weights has to be close to a ton and that light a trailer won't handle it.

The :wh: you are buying looks great and appears to be well maintained. If the transmission operates properly it will be a inner. Locating the oil leak will be a matter of cleaning everything up and observing where it is coming from,

Thanks for the welcomes. :D

Have to recruit a friend to take trip with me this Tuesday then.

My understanding is the D-200 didn't have a rear PTO option.

The owner says this one does and I can see that this one appears to have one from the pics.

Is that odd or was it a factory option at time of purchase?

I recently sold my d200. While it didn’t have a front end loader, I had a filler on it, and my 3 point finish mower on the trailer. It hung over the back of my 12’ trailer almost 12 inches. I have a Ford 18 hp diesel fel that isn’t much bigger that the d. It takes up almost the whole trailer. I would venture to guess you would probably need a 10’ trailer. The d with the finish mower is on a 12’ trailer, the c-85 with fel is on a 10’ trailer
