wheel horse front rims topic

as tractor collectors restorers etc.. we tend to accumulate extra parts.   I have a stacks of front rims with no idea if they are correct for certain models??  front rims on project tractors as we know maybe miss matched or wrong.  I thought this might be a good chance or we could come up with a guide to put together some sort of reference with model/year.  maybe this way we could be able to pass off or trade front rims to whoever needs them.

ideas thoughts??

I like it.

Sorted by size, width, number of holes, something like that...

Great idea!  Funny thing, both RJ’s came with later model front wheels.  I think I like the extra meat up there... though I have no idea what they really came from!  They look like the Charger /60’s-70’s fronts to me.

RJ & Suburban Front Rims are the same 8" dia  but one difference is the holes for weights

1958-59 RJ Front Rim No Weight Holes

1960 Suburban Front Rim 1 Weight Hole

1961 Suburban Front Rim, 2 Weight holes

Tub trailer wheels didn't  holes they are 3" wide the hub width was 4 1/2".  Not sure of the hub widths on the early model tractors, the later models used 3 3/4" hubs.

I’m thinking I’ve heard of people using trailer wheels on rjs and that they are the same as those that came on rjs.  Don’t hold me to that though!

Just an additional question.  Do tires with wheel horse lettering hold higher value?
