Those hens look big enough to be laying. Our run is not as big as yours but we let them out and free range them.Looking good! There is nothing like fresh eggs in the morning.

Pretty close....

I understand this breed usually starts laying around 4 to 6 months.

We were originally going to free range them but we need to train the dog first....

That could be a challenge.

Love farm fresh eggs!!!

The Tuul Crib

Good Lookin set of birds Eric. They seem to be very happy and content that makes for great eggs and tender meat chickens.

I'm considering doing this myself ! I grew up with a big chicken house and my mother sold eggs to local farmers in the area growing up !  Thanks for sharing the video it's awesome !!

Eric,

Just in case you don't know, the first eggs will be about ping pong ball sized.Takes a while for them to get bigger.Having chickens as egg layers is very cost effective. Our hens like to use the WH carts as roost bars.I even give them rides.

Pullstart

We picked up a six pack of wooden painted eggs, it helped break our hens on the pecking urges.  Those along with golf balls scattered in the chicken house, no more yolk messes to surprise us!  Looking good Eric!
