AHS 1,440 #1 Posted August 2, 2019 My 312 is for snow blowing, and I live in Maine! It’s overhead valve. I would like a bit more power... what about just shaving the head and putting a cam in it? And to make the block +.010 or .020. That’s all I need. Would this be possible? Or just buy a14 or 16hp? What do you think? Thank you! My block is a kohler ‘00 or ‘
oliver2-44 9,734 #2 Posted August 2, 2019 Your better off buying a larger motor. Then redo the 12 hp and keep it for a ready to go spare on the shelf.
TonyToro 1,049 #3 Posted August 3, 2019 I agree with Oliver. You are going to be into it for Hundreds of dollars. Just buy a new engine.
