T867 / mule drive question

Recommended Posts

Title pretty much says it. Friend of mine has the 310-8 with a mule drive setup and I was wondering what modifications I have to do and if it’s fairly simple and what parts do I need to put a mule drive setup on my t867 with a side discharge deck. Thanks in advance.

:WRS:

If you want to mount a newer deck under the 867 be sure there is room for the newer deck, it can probably be done. The mule drive from a later model :wh: can be mounted with a little creativity (and a drill and perhaps a welder).

I believe the 867 has a smaller PTO pulley than the 310-8, so belt speed will have to be addressed as well.

I put a muel drive on a 854 to run a sickle bar. Biggest issue was wheel clearance when you turn left.  It would hit the muel drive. I made a  1 1/4 space to shift it over to get the clearance it needed.

Wheel Horse made an adapter that bolted to the frame allowing the use of a front mount mule drive on the older tractors. I tried to find some info on it but couldn't Maybe somebody here can help.:)

These can  easily be fabricated out of 1/4

inch steel. All you need are dementions

and where to drill the holes. Oh and a welder or a friend with one.
