Howie 899 #3 Posted July 28, 2019 Thought I added two pictures but guess not. Was built on a Wheel Horse frame One eight horse Briggs and four five horse engines. The combinations were set at slightly different forms to work in sync. Also told me he worked and made the WH frames.

Pullstart 63,201 #6 Posted July 29, 2019 I wonder what the purpose of different power ratings is for? Maybe it takes 8 hp to start 4-5’s at the same time? Pretty nifty creation! It should be at a plow day

I only knew of two older guys back in the 90s that are both probably long since passed.... They could keep those multi carbs adjusted. Six packs in my experience and observation were the most challenging. Both of those guys were a little bit on the ornery side a lot of the time. Probably because they tried to adjust a six pack once in a while.
Howie 899 #9 Posted July 29, 2019 Not sure why he used the engines he did. He started the four a couple of times. Started them individually. With setting the rpm's for each set different it did not pull one set down he said. I forget what the rear axle was but was from some small car. Should have gotten down and looked at it closer but that is harder for an old guy.
