little red riding horse 223 #1 Posted July 28, 2019 Hi, have got a trailer that needs new wheels... trailer has had new suspension units fitted so want to leave them alone... wheels are 13"x6" with 205 wide tires (think someone has fitted wider tires) wheels are negative offset =ET-015 and have 10mm spacer so basically this equates to a wheel with ET-025, follow ? problem is they are rubbing against the trailer body hence the use of a spacer...but ideally would need a wider spacer , so with the need to move wheel out even more to avoid tire rubbing (ideally moving wheel out another 15mm) I would now need a wheel of ET-040 (not ideal for a trailer designed for carrying weight) as most wheels I see for trailers are around zero or positive offset question... if I went for a wheel size of around 5" with a narrower tire of 165-175mm would this enable me to reduce the negative offset on the wheel ? Im having trouble over here getting a wheel with this kind of negative offset any help or/and links to company supplying wheels that would suit would be great... my brain is mush after 2days of this !! Pullstart 62,791 #2 Posted July 28, 2019 Phil, do you only need new wheels because of the rust? A simple e-tank would clean those puppies up and allow for a good paint job, then just pick up a set of 165 or 175 tires, as you see fit.

Stormin 9,981 #4 Posted July 28, 2019 Are the suspension units Indespension ones, Phil? Also what make is the trailer or is it home made?
little red riding horse 223 #5 Posted July 29, 2019 Hi Norm , trailer is factory made jobby galvanised , has TFM on it …. supplied originally by some company in Kendal im going to put some 12x5 wheels on it , narrower wheel and tire should work me thinking , think whoever had it last put after market wheels on it , doesn't rub badly but its bad enough not to want to use it on the rd (ive just been using it around the plot ) Yes Indespension units Norm Phil
Stormin 9,981 #6 Posted July 29, 2019 TFM manufacture a wide range of trailers etc for agricultural and garden use. Those wheels were quite popular in the 80's and 90's for 4x4s. You could get a replacement set from Indespension.
