Who is running electric fuel pump? I'm having issues!

So my C-161 with the predator 22hp has one of the low pressure inline electric fuel pumps installed.  I am on my 2nd one in a short time and this one is now not working.  The engine came with a vacuum pump but it also died quickly and then filled the crankcase with fuel.

What other options do I have or am I doing something wrong???  So this model has the tank under the seat.  I have a small piece of line coming out of tank and then the pump mounted under seat on top of rear end then the fuel line goes all the way to the engine.

Which version are you using? the 'round' one or the 'square' one? I had bad luck with the round ones, am now running only the squares and so far much better......

Have you checked the voltage output of your charging system? I have the inexpensive :techie-ebay:round fuel pumps on three of mine with no issues. I have them low on the frame so they only have to push the fuel.

If the crankcase is getting fuel in it wouldn't that mean there is a problem with the float?

I use these with no issues mounted back by the tank, must use a pre-filter though. Mr Gasket 42S E Bay $30.

The vacuum operated fuel pumps obtained their pulsations from the pressure changes that occur in the engine's crank case as the piston moves up and down. If the pump has a diaphragm leak some fuel will be pulled into the crankcase.
