Agreed.

Or call Lowell on the vendors section.

Around here Napa was more expensive and I still had to wait a few days.

Might as well support our own...

Why not get the OEM axle seal.  Find it here.  Just enter your model # as ; 417-8 and go to the page TRANSAXLE or transmission.

https://www.psep1.biz/arinet.asp?aribrand=TO#/s/TO/417-8//1/

The seal is part # 6449...  about $10 each...

Dave

I believe the 6449 is for the hydro models. 1-1/8" ID x 1-5/8" OD

Go down the list at psep to see the 8-speed models.

I see WH part number 100443 which is 1-1/8" ID x 1-3/8" OD for the 417-8. Napa or SKF # 11050.

A parts manual shared by more than one tractor model is always a problem unless you have an original copy.

Is this what we all are?  :ROTF:  Quite the read in that patent app!  I will from now on, or until I forget, refer to it as a power drive mechanism!

SKF 11050 is $3.55 from my bearing supply house and is a steel shell.  Some of Toro's are plastic

Thank you Gary and pfrederi 100443 was the number I was coming up with, just was not sure if that seal was used in hydro or 8 speed or if they were the same. What tractors used the 10 pinion limited slip if any one knows the models? I believe my particular tractor is an 8 pinion.

10 pinions were used on Charger/Electro and Raiders long before your 417 was born.

Yes I new the 10 pinion was earlier than my 417, I thought it may have been used on the D Series.

Be interested to know when you get them if they come in a green SKF box  Note seller says brand is after market.  Also picture does not show the outer edge of the seal as being green.  SKF brand seals have a green sealant applied to the outer edge....

I ordered some off of eBay a few months ago that came in a plastic bag with a paper label and no boxes. They are not green painted like a standard SKF seal but they are definitely a metal cased seal and seemed of good quality. I have them in 2 tractors. One is the Cinnamon Horse and that has a few months of run time on it and they seem fine so far but who knows what the entire life span of them will be...

Can't remember exactly what I paid. I ordered six at a time. $3 each? $4 each?
