71_Bronco 1,072 #1 Posted July 24, 2019 I've seen pictures of Wheel Horse weights, and these look very similar. However, it looks like these have a cut-out for a valve-stem, and 2 holes for wheel bolts instead of 4. Are there different variations of WH Weights? Thanks!
Pullstart 62,799 #2 Posted July 24, 2019 They look heavy.
squonk 41,037 #3 Posted July 24, 2019 I think the D used the cut out. WH weights were not made by WH. I have seen them on Cubs, AMF and others.

71_Bronco 1,072 #8 Posted July 25, 2019 So the big question is, what should one expect to pay for these? Does the "buck a pound" rule apply? Or are these a more desirable style?
AMC RULES 37,130 #9 Posted July 25, 2019 I don't know about that buck a pound thing...but, I would advise buying asap and not waiting until we get closer to them cold winter months when the piice is sure to go up.
ericj 1,578 #10 Posted July 25, 2019 I've seen them go for $ 2.00 a pound or more, just saying eric j

Herder 2,354 #12 Posted July 25, 2019 (edited) I paid $150.00 for a set of front & rear. Yes I would consider that a steal. I see sellers ask as much as $250.00 just for the rears. Edited July 25, 2019 by Herder

Seller claims they are only 20 ish pounds apiece.
rjg854 11,350 #14 Posted July 25, 2019 There's a front weight
AMC RULES 37,130 #15 Posted July 26, 2019 Also, wanted to say...what ever you do... DO NOT pay the listed Ebay prices for these weights. Best bet would be to place a "wanted" ad here in the classifieds. https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/classifieds/wanted/ Pretty sure someone will step up with a set of them to help you out. squonk 41,037 #17 Posted July 26, 2019 I saw a set like those fronts at an old Cub dealer once.
71_Bronco 1,072 #18 Posted July 28, 2019 Been messaging the seller of the weights I posted a picture of. He was asking $195 for the pair, but has since lower his asking price to $145. I tried to get him to come down more, but hes firm at $145. Would these be a good buy at that cost? I'm sure I can get other brand ones for less (like a set of Bolens or the plastic ones), but these are a little cooler IMO
