midpack 862 #1 Posted July 19, 2019 I ended up with one of these off a tractor I got a while ago. I have a few of the 42" SD decks and they're OK I really like using the RD decks, have 36" and 42" RD, so I can tow a sweeper and collect the clippings but I figured I'd give this a shot and see how it does. went through it, cleaned underneath and painted, greased the spindles and lubed the rollers. got it mounted to my C-175 hydro yesterday and gave it a rip. I have to admit, this combo really ate up the grass that was a week overdue for cutting!!! i was cutting at max tractor speed and didn't have to go over any places twice. mrc 810 #3 Posted July 19, 2019 wheelhorse had a kit which converted a regular 48inch SD deck into a dedicated mulcher deck. i know because i bought a kit years ago and installed it on one of my decks. it took me 5-6 hours to install the kit as you had to drill a bunch of holes for the "kicker" gizmo's. works good! i also "heard" they made this deck one year only as well. regards mike in mass.
