adammurray 1 #1 Posted July 18, 2019 l have a 1993 520h its running perfectly but when l engage the deck the pto engages perfectly but after approx 1 minute the pto comes to a stop over approx 5seconds as though through friction. has anyone had this problem and know the cure ? 953 nut 55,776 #2 Posted July 18, 2019 It is likely that the mower deck or the mule drive is causing the problem rather than the PTO. Remove the belt from the PTO and turn each of the pulleys on the deck and mule drive by hand to see where the problem may be. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

lynnmor 7,354 #4 Posted July 19, 2019 I wondered how the ends of the bell were wearing away on some PTOs and finally figured it out. There are some folks that run the things with the pin broken and the hoop is actually pushing the bell. Just something to check.
