Pullstart 64,609 #103 Posted August 12, 2019 Final inspection day! He’ll be here in an hour and hasn’t yet seen it in person! We did a design change on the legs, to keep it as close to the ground as possible. I’ll cut some 1/8” plate to place under the set screws, to push against the carpet floor. 2

Pullstart 64,609 #105 Posted August 12, 2019 The set screws are 1/2” long and should allow for an 1/8” to 1/4” adjustment and still support the assembly... I hope!

Pullstart 64,609 #107 Posted August 12, 2019 Within a week or two, I’ll have the wood top married to this. I still haven’t seen the wood... and I’m so excited!

Lets see, 700 pounds +/- of steel. Probably that much wood weight added to that! How are you planning to move it into the meeting room it will be used in? Levitation?

Done that a few times myself and have a few people I call to help with it sometimes too. Been an interesting project to watch, can't wait to see it with the top on it. I really enjoy seeing different things like this being made.
Pullstart 64,609 #111 Posted August 14, 2019 Sneak peak of the slab! This was my first glimpse of the rest of the story! I built some quick straps to help prevent cupping and separating on the ends of the seam and used the threaded inserts to hold one end down for now. 4 1 1
Tractorhead 9,093 #112 Posted August 15, 2019 Whow, buddy what a cool lookin. A big advantage is, a theft protection is maybe not needed, because of weight.. 😂👍 How you like to protect the Surface ? Using Oil, Wax or Clearcoat?
Pullstart 64,609 #113 Posted August 15, 2019 They are using a dark oil. I should have taken a picture of the cabinetry because it was all milled out of the same tree! I will once it’s complete! 1 1
Pullstart 64,609 #114 Posted August 31, 2019 I received these pictures from the customer last night. The table top needs to be drilled now for inserts then we can screw the two together. There will be ivory in the chairs and all the cabinetry handles are deer antler. All the woodwork is from the same tree, remember! 4 6
