B-82 transmission sloppy shifter

Recommended Posts

dmhill

I  recently acquired a B-82 (my only stamped frame machine) and it seems this shifter is waaaay loose to me. It seems to go into the proper gears....just. It appears to have really low hours on it as there is no rust to speak of and most parts don't look worn. Even the paint all appears original. I took the shifter off but don't see any way to adjust it. Please help. I don't want to see it go to parts or worse....it is a horse (sort of) after all.
