The Tuul Crib 7,336 #1 Posted July 11, 2019 I’m looking at this tractor on Facebook and it’s a brand I have not heard of maybe someone here has. It says Springfield and I don’t know much about it. It has a Kohler engine on it and when I asked the owner they did not know what horsepower it was. It does have a lot of good parts if I part it out . I want the seat! WHNJ701 4,165 #2 Posted July 11, 2019 I never owner one but they have a following, the cast seat is not original to it, this one looks like it has a bunch of goofy add on's, keep the seat and pull the kohler and sell it off

It says Springfield and I don’t know much about it. It is a Springfield, I believe made by Quick Mfg in Springfield OH if I remember correctly. The early rear engine riders were white/green, the tractors were red/white... I have sometimes seen their early 60s models come up on craigslist as Wheel Horse by un-knowing owners. What you have pictured up there is mid 60s, say 65-66, around the time they too were acquired by Toro. If you search for them, you'll find those same models labeled as Springfield and as Toro. I just delivered another off-shoot department store branded version of that tractor to my brother-in-law. The Farmcrest branded Toro/Springfield tractor was produced for Gamble-Skogmo.... aka Gambles Department store... headquartered in Minneapolis.... just down the road from.... you guessed it... Toro. Here's the Farmcrest version I just delivered.
Bear G 690 #10 Posted July 16, 2019 I bought an “Oogha” horn exactly like this from David Brown while we were at the Portage show. Another RedSquare member that’s not real fond of my horns on the stretch said, “It sounds like a sick bull moose mating call” To which I replied, “I know, Ain’t it cool!!’ I plan to put the new moose call on my GT-14. 1 1
