formariz 11,974 #1 Posted July 9, 2019 I always found original seat backrest too reclined , making me to lean forward all the time. Used a couple of heavy duty furniture levelers (plenty of that around here) on the existing holes and it now puts backrest in the perfect position for my back. The slight height gain also makes it more comfortable.

Cass, I did something similar on my '95 with red rubber coated bolts, a little more forgiving on the fender paint.
formariz 11,974 #3 Posted July 10, 2019 The ones I used have a plastic bottom. I could also put a heavy felt pad on them like the ones used on bottom of chair legs. it is definitely a great improvement in riding comfort.
dalez 137 #4 Posted July 10, 2019 Now you started something. It's a great modification. I just did mine after reading this with some 3/8" carriage bolts and put 3/4" rubber chair/cane tips on the bottom.
