That was exactly the reason we have none on any of our tractors. Trina's been using her 867 almost all the time lately. Also, Cinnamon Horse and Pony tracta are going to Owls Head in a couple weeks. Is the carb a $20,0 wonder? The engine that's in there is still the 1979 Briggs 8. I literally had the Tecumseh all spread out and ready to be worked on back in February when we had the major oil spill in the basement. Needless to say that sidelined any project except for necessities for a couple months and then some. I do still intend to get the techy 6 up and running at some point in the next few months. in this particular case, the carburetor was great. It ran great. Then we took it partially apart to clean it and it would not start. I have a couple extra coils and we'll do a full electronic check. And this 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Probably better than original. That was always the problem with these engines. Other than that they are great engines. Other than that they are great engines. Here is a post I made showing some more detail. The Kohler ran ok, but not great with this carb. It was actually on. K-181T come to think of it. ebinmaine 69,557 #20 Posted July 9, 2019 I appreciate all the kind comments and I've been sure to share them with Trina. Some of you already know this was the third tractor in our herd and her first. The first full restoration we did. As stated above our tractors are workers. This one is showing some character signs, if you will.
