WHNJ701 4,165 #2 Posted July 5, 2019 (edited) the 701 guard doesn't have the indent for the model number, not sure what others used that type? that's the wrong hood too Edited July 5, 2019 by jabelman
Guest 88vic #3 Posted July 5, 2019 I know I wont be able to keep it 100 percent original. Im mainly looking for functional parts that will fit and work. I already have to change the foot rests, ill have to go to the stirrup style.

A belt guard from any round hood with a Kohler engine should work. Like mentioned above the 701 did not have an indent where the number badge goes. This indent can be filled in with body filler if you are painting the tractor. Depending on your fab skills belt guards are not hard to make out of 16 gauge sheet metal. Edited July 6, 2019 by Achto
WHNJ701 4,165 #6 Posted July 6, 2019 Saw a belt guard on ebay for 24.
Guest 88vic #7 Posted July 6, 2019 The pedals are stuck onto the 3/4 shaft. I tried to remove the clutch pedal which was stuck too and it broke. Discovered that it was cast. I bought a used replacement clutch pedal on ebay, the only one anywhere. Should be here in a few days. The original footrests are out of my price range so ill go with the stir ups. Guest 88vic #8 Posted July 6, 2019 I am getting a new 3/4 round bar and not fighting with it anymore. Sitting outside for many years took a toll on this tractor.
Achto 27,913 #9 Posted July 6, 2019 The foot pads are cast aluminum. I would think that a propane torch may get them warm enough to move. Start with turning them & they should come off. Patients will be key.
