Congrats on the score!  If MO wasn’t so far away from MI... I would have pursued that deal!

Congrats, I too seriously considered that deal. But Tx to Mo was a little to far.

Smokin deal... I was very tempted. Glad to see they went to a good home. :handgestures-thumbupright:

I had the pleasure of workin a couple this weekend and they are a bit different than what I am used to wrenching on but still fairly simple.  This one had the tank removed due to a PO diesel repo and will get a donor tank from a parts 953 but it appears the tranny has to come out to install it. In went a 241 from a parts 1077 and with a temp tank got some seat time!

T-Mo

Thanks, Rick, for rescuing these from me - I just didn't have time to mess with them, and I was almost 100% sure both would start and run (the one Rick kept I had running and driving, it acted like the fuel pump quit on me).  Someday I hope to find another 953 or 1054 that doesn't need any, and I mean, any work to get going.  But, that will be some time down the road when I'm retired and really have more time.

For now, I'm pleased that these two went to really good homes.  I know Rick from a couple of plow days, and I've seen his plow tractor, so I know he will take good care of the one he kept.  And the other one went to an avid Wheel Horse collector, so I know it will be well taken care of also.

BTW, Rick, I have a 10 inch Brinly, I don't know what model it is, but I've used it a few times on plow days.  I might keep it for the Cub Cadet 100, or I might part with it.  Who knows.

    Unfortunately this is not the best engineered feature of the 953.  Is that chain steering wheel one of your creations?  :handgestures-thumbupright:

They are labeled Carlisle  Farm Special. Not up to speed on my 953 tiresize but will look. Guessing standard 953 15 inch rims.

'fraid not Richard .. PO thing. It's not the best tho for helping getting on the tractor and overall use. Flexes too much. Three or four spokes would have been better.

It’s a great reminder that a little imagination and a welder can build about anything though!

Picked up two 953 tractors from T-Mo last week got both of them running & driving I'm keeping this one and a friend of  mine is getting the other one. Thanks Terry  P.S. I will be looking for a PP-10HD ground breaking plow in the future.

I'm glad you bought them, I have bought two from Terry so far and its a long way from south of KC! Besides the fact that if I drag another one home, I will be single for the first time in 30 years!

Adam.

On the tires They are nice looking tires and bet they would do well in the dirt.

I am afraid to look what they get for them.

Update...  72 a piece on the Jungle site, not the worst considering tru powers in 12-23 8.5 are 100 a piece. I figured these would be well over a 100.

Those are the tires I plan to use on my GT-14. You can get 14" wheels from Hey Wheel.

Glad to see both of these went to good homes, I looked at these several times and came real close to messaging Terry about them, but then I remembered our trip to Nebraska this week and decided against it

I talked to Bryan Hey himself and I'm getting some 10.50 wide wheels and he is going to weld the centers in at whatever back spacing I want. I will give some more info when I get those. I think it may be a good source.
