nylyon-(Admin) 7,268 #2 Posted June 28, 2019 I was going to do this, but lost interest. It can be done. I have the 50" sickle still for sale if you're interested.
Stepney 2,325 #3 Posted June 28, 2019 I have one on an Electro 12, and have considered using it on my GT-1848. Consider that a 400-series hydro. If you can find a Haban, things would be easier, they will work with the clutch PTO. Most all of the older actual WH sickles use the roundhood foot pedal pto. The unit will bolt in place of your tach-a-matic, and the rear hanger holes should be there too. They are on mine. You'll need to remove your PTO and stick a 2-3" V pulley on, and rig up a engagement pulley to tighten the belt. the floorboards of the newer machines are in the way of the foot PTO fom what I see. So either cut the floorboard or rig something else up there. It's do-able.
