520-8 Drive Belt

Does anyone know If the correct drive belt for the 520-8 #107939 toro 93-9809  83.5”.?

My clutch pedal has been jumping with toro 114895 belt which is 82.95. If believe the 1/2 is causing the jump however, the 520-8 is a unicorn and I’ve only been able to find one source saying it should be 83.5. All others list the 520-8 and 520-h as the same belt at 82.5”

The numbers on my original belt are worn off.

114895 is the OEM belt at 83" length.

Another situation where the online parts lists are confusing.

There are 2 drive belts listed for item # 6 but fails to identify what models use what belt.

114895 fits the hydro models with twin cylinder engines

Transmission drive belt 112801 replaced by 114895 - (HB x 82.95 or 5/8" x 82.95")

 

107939 replaced by 93-9809 fits 8-Speed models with twin cylinder engines

Transmission drive belt  107939 replaced by 93-9809 - (HB x 83.5" or 5/8" x 83-1/2")

BUT some models had a problem with clearance at the clutch damper so they came up with a 79-2500 belt 1/2" shorter and still available from Toro

114895 is not the correct belt.

I put a new one on and I have no clutch play. Maybe 1/4 inch.

Im going to try Transmission drive belt  107939 replaced by 93-9809 - (HB x 83.5" or 5/8" x 83-1/2")

I believe it uses the same belt as the 416-8, not sure what the number is

I installed the 93-9809 belt today. It works perfect.

Therefore, the mystery is solved the 520-8 uses the 93-9809 drive belt. 

107939 replaced by 93-9809 - (HB x 83.5" or 5/8" x 83-1/2")
