1971/72 Electro 12

[12 hp Kohler 1,014]

Mods, if this is in the wrong place feel free to move it. 

I am looking for a parts manual and wiring diagram for my electro 12. Can’t seem to find one in the manuals section but I might just be over looking it. Also if anyone knows what ignition switch I need that would be great too. It has the points and coil ignition but it has the incorrect ignition switch on it now.

Here's a simplified wiring diagram, provided to me by Richard (953 nut). The switch you want is 103 990.

Can you post the tractor model number and serial number?

Also the engine spec number off the decal.

There were 3 different ignition systems used at the time and you don't want to mix the parts up. Gets real expensive to fix.

Here is the tractor model and serial number. Don’t have a picture of the engine spec number, I will try and get one soon.

1970 Electro 12 model 1-7255 - Uses Kohler K301S-47371c

This one uses magneto ignition. Click on the fuzzy pictures

 

Do not have a wiring diagram but the wiring for the 1970 Raider 12 is the same because they used the same engine spec. Only difference will be additional wiring if you have an electric pto clutch.

It may have had a magneto from the factory but someone must have switched it at some point. Currently it has breaker points and an almost new coil and plug wire.

Sounds like you now have battery ignition so use what ZXT posted above and the 103990 ignition switch.

Awesome thanks. At the moment the tractor doesn’t have a solenoid on it but when I re wire it and put a  new ignition switch in I will put a solenoid on.
