peter lena 8,933 #2 Posted June 11, 2019 hello bertie, nice pick up on that those 416-8 are a stout piece, get your baseline service done to verify what you have ,and let us know how it is. i would not mind having one of those myself, but i don,t have the room for another one, pete
Bertie 314 #3 Posted June 12, 2019 Thanks Peter I'm having a good look later today/tomorrow so will report back. It joins my 512D and C161 which are great machines 👍
Bertie 314 #4 Posted June 12, 2019 Basic check over today most obvious is I need a replacement clutch pedal spring, transmission rubber boot, trans oil change. Engine is smoke free with fresh oil/filter but surges a little so changed the in line fuel filter it's much better. Need a good run really if it doesn't totally clear I'll strip the carb, cleaned up ok..

jeepdan 321 #6 Posted June 14, 2019 Great find on the 416, looks really nice. But, I'm just as interested in the shop? barn? Love the sandstone walls and timbers. How about a photo of the outside?

How about a photo of the outside? I'll post you an external pic tomorrow when I'm back home. It's a crook barn from the early 16th century originally built with oak timbers which supported the roof. External walls were added C1700... I intend to continue to use the barn as a barn and not make any alterations as so many people do, it's a great place to sit and ponder 👍
