Just a small Black bear that his mother booted about three years back as with most cubs was without fear and full of curiosity. Been a regular visitor that shows up about five or six times during the summer months. If it were a female would be now old enough now to have cubs of her own which would be more dangerous than the male whose habits and demeanor are a world apart from a mother protecting her cub. Yea that is cute, your bear is learning a food source and will become a such nuisance you''ll not even be able to eat a sandwich outdoors. We have a river at the rear of our property so we get a lot of wildlife passing through.
The Tuul Crib 7,336 #6 Posted June 11, 2019 Fortunately for us we don’t have a bear problem here. However we do have a big problem with deer and l don’t mean the green ones. They are eating up everything around my yard. They are not afraid of humans. You can all most walk right up to em. There needs to be an open season or a longer one . bc.gold 3,403 #8 Posted July 9, 2019 Our visitor is becoming a nuisance, from one of my dump finds some sort of contraption with stainless steel lines with a few electrically operated valves that are normally closed but once energized open up. A 24 inch Grover air horn from a highway tractor, connected to my air compressor with a motion detector to activate the relay. Glad we don't have any close neighbors when the horn blows at 3:00 am. Bears apparently are nocturnal creatures.

ebinmaine 67,277 #10 Posted July 27, 2019 Pure stupidity on behalf of the homeowner and the bear pays the price. Brilliant.
