She mentioned bales and I was thinking wonder if there ever was a mini baler pulled behind a 's. So just thought I would put this out here for the group to mull over and see what come up here. bc.gold 3,403 #2 Posted June 8, 2019 (edited) Can not remember the brand, possibly New Holland or Massey square baler that someone has modified to make small bales targeted toward apartment dwellers who have a rabbit or guinea pig as a pet. The whole baler was downsized with a modification made to the knot tier system, it was a pretty cool set up. The bales were small enough to be sent postal. The article I read several years ago detailed the conversion of a full size baler to pump out mini bales, and it was an older New Holland baler he used. I was looking through youtube and came across some small sized V8s and thinking how cool one of these would be on one of our tractors! Not sure how to link it up maybe someone does here. WHX?? 48,788 #6 Posted June 9, 2019 Neighbor has a mini baler that he uses for making straw bales for sale with his Halloween pumpkins, Indian corn and such. Porch deco stuff. Looks alot what Richard posted above. Could pull it behind a I guess but just too small a bales to run through feed alfalfa or whatnot unless the 4Her's could use them for taking feed to county fairs? Have to ask him. 8ntruck 6,991 #8 Posted June 10, 2019 Mini V8s? How about a Buick 215? Aluminum, weigh about 300 lb, GM sold the tooling to Rover and they were built into the 90's so parts are available. They can be stroked and bored to around 300 cu. in. I ran across a picture of one powering a chain saw a while back. Be like E.J. Buick 215? Just drive something off the shaft of one of these bad boys. Little gear reduction and a few heat shields to keep the bales cool and you're all set!
