Attachments for a Toro Wheel-Horse Tractor Model 520 Xi

Recommended Posts

Hi there, we are looking at purchasing a Toro Wheel-Horse Tractor Model 520 Xi and want to get the loader attachment. Does anyone know where a person can find attachments for this tractor?  Also, any tips on the tractor would be helpful as well.

Thanks

The 520xi was produced 1998-2004. The attachments are unique to this series of tractor so harder to find. Toro also supplied Ford/New Holland with these models so that is another source.

There is an attachment list in this file listing the 2000 model numbers so you know what is required. Click on the picture.

Thanks Garry, Yes, I have the part # and have been looking for about 3 weeks in many different areas.    I am wondering if there is a loader attachment that would fit on the tractor that isn't specifically a Toro model(some sort of cross-reference) or does it have to be the Toro part specifically.  I know some tractors allow for some flexibility just don't know about this model of tractor.

Thanks

Michelle

Kwik Way made a loader for this machine (I had one) and it was sold as a Toro attachment.  Not many to be had and I looked for 18 months before I landed one.  There is a RS member here who lives somewhere in the midwest who made a loader for his 5xi.  He had great welding skills and he carefully documented the build.  Do a search on this site and I am sure you will find it.  If you get a Kwik Way loader for a classic tractor (the loader is the same), you can fabricate the subframe to fit a 5xi.  You will also have to fab a mule drive since the Xi machine PTO is in the front of the tractor.

I got a 520xi last year and was lucky enough to find a Kwik Way loader. Like don said a new subframe had to be made for the loader. I bought a spare pulley box from A-Z Tractor, stripped the pulleys out and mounted a hydraulic pump with pulley in it. With very little work it is a good way to run the hydraulics and is easy to remove/replace.
