Long John 2 #1 Posted June 5, 2019 Looking for information, I have a lawn vac that came with my 1978 C121, I am looking for the belt length PTO to vac blower pulley. I am currently using a 1/2 x 116 belt which seems fine but doesn’t have a lot of tension on the idlers. Just trying to get some info, I don’t have a product brochure, I don’t know the WH model number for the vac either.
Achto 27,505 #2 Posted June 5, 2019 Fellow Cheese Head. Dig through the implements in the manuals section and see if you can find a manual for your machine. If you can find the model number on your vac it will make your search easier. Just a heads up, Garden Tractor Daze in Portage will be featuring this year. July 11 - 13th. Might be worth the couple hour trip for you. You could even drag your Horse along to show off.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,033 #3 Posted June 5, 2019 Welcome to the forum. This link will take you to 2 pages of files that are all mixed up so look through them all. I suspect what you have is early 1970's model. Thought there was a mistake with the files that are posted but 1973-1975 appears to use the same manual 803894 https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?&q="Mower Vacuum Lawn 42in"&type=downloads_file&search_and_or=or Garry
Long John 2 #4 Posted June 6, 2019 Thanks Acto For the heads up on how to search. thanks to Garry for the link. The vac brochures listed don’t match my part number I have a 97-42V01. Don’t know if vac was added after original purchase or not. I have a different idler setup than what’s shown in literature. I have an 8 Speed although I wouldn’t that would make a difference. The idler on the 1978 C121 8 speed looks the same as the idler setup on my 1971 Bronco 14 Automatic. I’ll keep digging or just try a bunch of different size belts till I like the fit. Brochures call for a 107.5 length belt and mine actually measures 166.7.
