I'm trying to tune up my mower deck

Hello Gents,

I am trying to figure out my mower deck. it's a 42"SD bought with the tractor in 1977.
I looked at the manual and discovered I have been hooking it up wrong for years. There is a leveler rod and a trunnion which connect to a bracket attached from the rear wheel axle and the furthest back hole on the leveler bar. This is a part I have never used and don't have. As I read more of the manual I see two or three more adjustments that I never touched. It seems that there are adjustments on the tractor linkage as well. The lift rod has always been a mystery to me. It always need to be adjusted. I posted a picture of the part I've never used circled in red.

I just pulled up the Parts Tree schematic.  #17 18 19 will hit for about $40 bux + ship.  I'll send you a good used identical part for $22.  From a 42" deck and in good cond.  Use My Paypal...

Dave,

 Have you got a good lift rod and trunnion too? They look the same but you would know. If you do have one I'll take the two. My wife (the Paypal person in our house) is asleep so I'll have her do the transfer in the morning + $1.40 I owe you. Send me the instructions again so I don't screw this one up.
