Swept Axle On Short Frame?

Recommended Posts

71_Bronco

Just curious if anybody has done this before. I would assume it would be more for looks than function though.

I could see it potentially being useful if you had a short-frame tractor that you were setting up with a more modern mule drive deck, as the forward swept axle would give more room for the deck and attach-a-matic.

Has anybody done this? Or am I just a little crazy?

I thought that was kind of a standard requirement to be a member of this site.

I haven't got the answer at all but I'm curious to see what the others will say so I'll be here following along.

I know it kinda defeats the purpose of the short frame (short wheelbase, easy manuverability).

But, if it allows the the necessary space under the middle of the tractor, for an attach-a-matic, I could see the use. Only issue would be getting a functional PTO adapted to the tractor vs the pedal set-up.

Takes up to much space being qider and I don't drive it.  Plus if you don't put the wider rear rims and tires on it then looks weird.
