Those look to be about as bad as the ones I have.  Probably never saw a grease gun in their life.

yep.  My hubs are reamed 3/4” straight through though.  A dab or 10 of grease and I’ll be rollin’ smooth!

Does anyone know what this little tab (sitting on the tire) is for?   It came off ONE of the front ends yesterday but I’m not sure why.  The axle beam has steering stops cast in.

I’m not sure what it is, but it was on the right side steering arm of a ‘62 model.  I just don’t know if it was a sort of shim, or stop, or ????

I’ve been asking my friend for about 2 years to do this.  He started over a couple times but I convinced him to just run with it.  Poppy was in the presence of some cool hot rod projects and looks great!

It sure was fun to watch him work!  My only request was to throw something on the engine shroud too :handgestures-thumbupright:

Upon snow blower inspection, I don’t think it’s meant for the ‘62 tractors.  The mount looks like it’s for the front Attach-a-Matic.

:text-welcomeconfetti: I do believe you are correct.  I think I ended up using it for mounting brackets to build my front mount sickle bar mower. :handgestures-thumbupright:

It’s been a while since Poppy ran.  I gave him a bath, cleaned the points and spark plug, and he fired right up.
