jasonw 17 #1 Posted June 2, 2019 (edited) I have a c161 with the automatic hydro. Everything works fine, but the lever moves forward on its own and you can't keep a constant speed unless you hold the lever. Is there an adjustment somewhere to tighten up the lever to keep it from moving on its own? Thanks Edited June 2, 2019 by jasonw
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,096 #2 Posted June 2, 2019 This service manual is from the same era as your tractor. Section 5 page 5-4 describes the motion control friction adjustment. Click on the picture Garry

Platinum556 2 #4 Posted August 5, 2019 My 1966 1276 has the auto but the spring mechanism in the controls shown above are not on my model. My dads 67' 877 has the same problem. Im assuming they added the spring tensioning feature due to this problem. I cant seem to find one for sale or any other solutions to the problem. Any advice would be great
Goofey 89 #5 Posted August 7, 2019 (edited) two springs to center it ? or something to rub up against? C-1something5 has a springy leafy thing to hold center and help hold set speed. Edited August 7, 2019 by Goofey
