oliver2-44 9,968 #5 Posted June 1, 2019 I sand blasted and put two coats on the bottom of my sons 42” SD deck. This will be its 4th summer and it’s holding up very well. His yard has good grass and very little sand to erode it. I didn’t put a top coat since I just did the bottom side. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

That's what makes it stick! You need to clean off the loose stuff and make sure there are no other contaminants, but other than that, leave the rust in place and coat over it. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
