WD212 5 #1 Posted May 30, 2019 Hi all, I've just joined. I have a 212-5. I've had the old boy for about 3 years now and I am amazed at what he has been through and is still running. WD212 5 #15 Posted June 13, 2019 Hi Guys, Apologies |I've been away on holiday. Up north at a place called Glen Coe in my camper van ( another passion of mine) and just back. Nice to know you are almost local Stormin (;>) Anyway to the business in hand. I have had my 212 in bits over the last few weeks. The gear selector had seized due to the fact that I have a property near a river and the old boy nearly drowned in a flood a couple of years ago. So... The back end, gear box, associated linkage, deck and associated belts and linkages all came off. I will post some pictures. I should have taken more especially of the gear box opened up but you know what its like when you are covered in oil and you don't want to touch any thing clean. I don't have any pictures of the 212 back in action but I will take some over the next few days of him back in operation. While I had 212 in bits I replaced the drive belts. cutter blades and nuts, changed the oil etc.... Apologies you may note I used some blue hammerite under the deck for rust protection.
