wshall2 1 #1 Posted May 29, 2019 Hi, I recently purchased a garden tractor and it came with a TORO mower deck (although it is a different brand ) the mower deck was never used on this tractor and possibly (based on look of the underside ) never used ever. Before I attempt to modify it to work on my tractor, I thought it may be worth finding out if it was of any value to wheelhorse owners looking for an original deck? On the tag on the top (which is very faded ) I did make out the TORO name, but stopped looking further, let me know if you need me to see if I can get more numbers off of it to help identify it and its value/interest?
71_Bronco 1,072 #2 Posted May 29, 2019 I would personally not modify it. Not sure what the value would be, as they vary quite a bit (depending on condition, age, models it fits, etc). I am not an expert on this style deck. What model tractor did it come with?
WVHillbilly520H 10,374 #3 Posted May 29, 2019 Looks to be for the xi series...44"?
clueless 3,012 #4 Posted May 29, 2019 Looks like it still has the model and serial number on it. Give us those and Garry will figure it out .

It came with a case tractor I just bought, PO picked it up years back to put on that case tractor but never touched it, not sure the original one it came with

That being found, what mower would this have been for, and is there any interest in it? What would it potentially be worth? Still trying to determine if I modify it to fit my tractor, or sell it and try to find the correct deck for my tractor. Thanks

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,102 #10 Posted May 30, 2019 The 78363 serial number will be 8902081 making it a 1998 model. Pretty important that you don't loose those numbers. Garry

Garry Thanks for the info. Only had it for less than a week and just looked at the tag for the first time today, got a picture so even if the tag gets worse, I have that. 23 Reo 229 #12 Posted June 1, 2019 You have a really nice deck. I would sell it for $350 to $400 and use the money toward the purchase of the correct deck for your Case.
doc724 925 #13 Posted June 1, 2019 It is definitely a deck for an xi tractor. It looks to be in pretty pristine shape on the underside but it was outside for a long time as witnessed by the faded paint topside. Depending on local demand, you could easily get $350-400 as suggested by 23 Reo
